Well, once again I failed at getting back to my blogging, but here I am once again making an attempt. I get an "E" for effort right? Lol! So again, a lot of time has passed and a lot of things have happened. It's summertime so, of course, Olivia is out of school and guess what? I am sitting in Orientation at Tri County Tech as I'm typing getting ready to go back to school myself!
In doing some serious soul searching lately, I began praying about direction for my life. In doing so, I have tossed around the idea of teaching. With some encouragement from several friends, and a divine Word from the Lord, I have been taking faith steps towards earning my Bachelor's degree. I begin classes Aug. 22.
Well, I don't have much time right now but will hopefully get back to you soon for more details! Until next time.....(which hopefully won't be more than 6 months hahah!)

She's BAAAAACK!!
LOL! Ok, soooooooo, I didn't keep my promise last time to update when I got back from that wedding...A YEAR AND A HALF AGO!! WOW! Time goes by so fast!
Well, here I am AGAIN, and once AGAIN I'm trying to lose weight and get healthier. But, that's not all I want to blog about, although that will be my primary focus.
I joined Weight Watchers 10/9/10 and as of my last weigh-in (10/22/10) I had lost 5 lbs. But as you know, I struggle a bit and I haven't been doing so great and have been scared to go weigh in haha!!
This time though I have a weight loss partner and we are trying to do this together. Accountability is a GREAT thing! We are going this Saturday for our meeting and weigh in so I will update after that....good or bad!
Life has been good, bad and crazy over the past year and a half and I don't even know where to begin. One highlight I would like to mention is reconnecting with my cousing Laura! We had drifted apart and hadn't gotten together in over TEN years! It has been really great spending time with her and her family and shame on us for waiting so long!
Last school year, Olivia was in K5 and I had decided to homeschool her. We had a good year but VERY stressful and difficult because of the time and attention required to do that. Olivia did AWESOME and exceeded her grade level expectations all year! I am so proud of her!!
This year we continued with that homeschooling program, but about 2 weeks ago I decided I just couldn't do it anymore. With working, homeschooling, ministry, and just life in general, I was about to crash and burn. So, two weeks ago Olivia started public school and has made an AWESOME transition! She's happy and I'm happy that she's happy! I am sad and disappointed that we couldn't continue, but Olivia's best interest is the most important aspect and having a frazzled mommy was NOT in her best interest!!lol
Well, that's all for now. Until next time.....

It's been WAAAYYY too long! So sorry!
Ok, so I have pretty much been dreading blogging because I hadn't been doing so well on the whole weight loss area of life :(. But, about 3 weeks ago, I got my membership back at the YMCA and have been trying to get back on track. During my recent "fall off" I actually gained 8 lbs!!!! UGH~ Ok, once again confession is good for the soul! So in the past 3 weeks I am still only 2 lbs back down from that. Of course, that's give or take as we all fluctuate daily.
Anyway, I definitely need to keep my blog current and keep current with all you that I'm following (Kaye, Karen, Jessica).
Family life is going really good. School is almost out and summer is fast approaching. I have decided to babysit one of Olivia's friends 2 days a week in the summer to allow Olivia some interaction with another child so she's not bored to death all summer with dear ole' Mom!! :) Hopefully we can do a lot of outdoorsy stuff and not be lazy and stay in the A/C !! Pray PLEASE for some MOTIVATION for me!!
We just celebrated Mother's Day this past Sunday and we had a really sweet/sobering service at church. The Pastor really just reminded us how important it is to remember how fortunate we are if we still have our Moms with us here on earth and to really love them while we still have the opportunity. It was much needed and a great inspiration to spend more time with family.
That afternoon we spent the whole afternoon with Eric's mom and then that evening went out to supper with my mom. It was a GREAT DAY! But, the most important part was my sweet little girl's suprises for me that day! She had made me a card in her Wed night class and a sweet little treasure box with her picture on it in Children's Church. She was SO excited about celebrating Mother's Day and kept telling me how much she loves me and is glad I am her Mommy. Yes, the heart DOES literally melt!! Also, my husband, whom I love more and more each day, got me the SWEETEST card and of course, CHOCOLATES!! lol Bless him!
Back to the weight loss issue.... I am trying very hard to stay motivated and committed to exercise. I met with a girl at the Y named Jennifer (how funny) and she is my Wellness Works coach. I also have been going to her AB class on Tuesdays and Thursdays with Amanda and those have really been helping. SOOOOO even though I'm not losing pounds as fast as I want to, I really feel that I am losing inches and MOST IMPORTANTLY, I feel SO much better!!!
We are leaving Thurs to go to Charleston where I have to sing in a wedding of a dear friend. I am so honored that she asked me and I am really nervous! BUT, everything will be fine and I know she is going to have a beautiful wedding and I am very happy for her & her hubby-to-be! Weddings always make me cry!! lol
Well, I guess I will get back to work now. I have MUCH to do before going out of town! If I don't blog again this week, I PROMISE I will update next week...at least at my next weigh in........UNTIL NEXT TIME!!

Weigh In 3/13/09
Ok, SOOOOOooooo....I had gained 5 lbs back last time I posted which left me at 76 lbs to go to meet my goal...Well, I have lost 3 of that this week!! Yay! So now I'm back down to 73 lbs to go to meet goal! Please pray for me. I am SERIOUS. This is SUCH a struggle for me!! Please pray specifically that I will stay committed and that the Lord will sustain me.
We are going out to eat with Eric's Mom and step-Dad tonight. I am really looking forward to spending time with them. We haven't done that much at all this year so far and hopefully we will work more on that in the weeks to come. We love our family and we're really trying to do better about staying close to them. Life gets so busy and we can leave out the ones who love us and support us the most. I don't want to do that anymore.
Until next time.....

Been a while.....ugh!
Ok, so I've really been avoiding this area on my computer lol! Since we last spoke, I have gained 5 lbs back as of last Friday's weigh in. UGH UGH UGH!!! Yeah, I pretty much am ticked off! I did have a "falling off" couple of weeks but last week I felt like I was getting back on track. I had been getting on the elliptical and cutting back on food. Apparently I didn't do as well I was thinking I had! SO, anyway, I am trying to back on track AGAIN (i hate this weight loss roller coaster!) and will update again this Friday REGARDLESS. Loss or Gain, I am posting!
Other than that, we've had a great day today with Eli's court hearing. He is OFFICIALLY a Thomas!! It was so awesome to be there today with the Thomas Family. They have prayed and waited for SO long for this day and I am so thankful that I was there to be a part of it!!! They are truly my family, even if they're not blood related.
We have been getting some GREAT soul food at church. Tonight was excellent and much needed for me. Pastor was talking about Rekindling our Fire! What? Just for me?? I just sat and soaked it all in and was very encouraged to STIR UP THE GIFT within me!
Olivia got her ears pierced last Friday. It was quite humorous. She has been TOTALLY against it! Each time we go to the mall I take her by Claire's and let her watch if someone is getting their ears done. She has wanted NO part of it! I told her that when she's ready she can just let me know. Well, Friday morning she woke up with an agenda! She started first thing saying she was going to get her ears pierced THAT DAY! So, I went with it. When Eric got off work, we ventured out, had dinner with PJ and his little girl Casey, and then off to the mall we went. I was still unsure if she was going to do it but she told me for certain she was NOT going to back out. We got there and she immediately hopped up in the chair. Not ONE tear was shed and she endured like a CHAMP! I was so proud of her! And since then, she has done FANTASTIC with the earrings! My baby is growing up and it makes me sad and happy at the same time.
She also started Spring Soccer and even though she's pretty much clueless out there, she is having a GREAT time and getting lots of good exercise.
Family-wise we have slacked off on the getting together lately mainly because everyone has had SO much going on lately. We are DEFINITELY going to have to work on that IMMEDIATELY!! I miss my sisters and feel distant again!! :(
Well, that's about all I guess. I will update again on Friday. (fingers crossed)
Until next time......

Been a while.....
Ok, so basically I have been really slack on my posting..So sorry.....I did weigh in on Friday and even after vacation I had only gained 1 lb back!! Hey, I was very excited about that!!! I am looking forward to a good weigh in this Friday. I WANT to be down a few pounds this week!!! I seriously need a loss!!!
I am heading BACK to the beach tomorrow with my boss/friend Pam. We have an insurance seminar to attend on Wed so we are heading down there tomorrow (Tues) and I am coming back on Thurs. I am excited about getting away but also going to miss Olivia terribly! And Eric!! I am looking forward to a "break" but I know I will be having some withdrawals! I am with Olivia ALL the time and I do love it! She's my sweet little friend :)
We had 2 amazing worship services at church yesterday. The messages were powerful and the Spirit of the Lord was moving in people's lives. I am so thankful for times of refreshing like that!
Last night after church we went to supper with my mom, both of my sisters, and some other close friends/family :). We had a really great time of fellowship with them. I am SO glad to be able to spend more time with my family...especially my sisters. Time goes by so fast and a month can go by without even knowing it. I don't want to feel like we all lead separate lives. I love my family and the older I get the more I realize how important it is to CHERISH them.
On another note, Eric and I watched the new movie "Fireproof". OH MY GOODNESS!! We were flat bawling our eyes out!!! That is such a powerful movie!! It's about a marriage that is falling apart and then is restored. If you haven't seen it, watch it, married or not.
Well, I will post again later. Until next time.....
